MADD Northern Virginia Programs and Activities
MADD's focus is to look for and execute effective solutions to the problems of drunk
driving and underage drinking while supporting
victims who have already experienced the pain of these preventable
crimes. Community programs, victim services, public awareness campaigns and policy
initiatives are integral steps in accomplishing MADD's mission. If you are interested
in any of the following programs or volunteer opportunities
please email northernvirginia.va@madd.org:
Victim Services
If you are a victim of a drunk driving crash - regardless of when the crash occurred - and you
need victim assistance, please contact us. We will have a
Victim Advocate talk to you to discuss your needs and how we can best
help. More information >>
Victim Impact Panels
VIPs are conducted in cooperation with the Virginia Alcohol Safety Action Program (VASAP) and other agencies
in the Northern Virginia/Metropolitan Washington, DC, area
Although MADD Northern Virginia provides speakers for victim impact panels, we
neither schedule them nor do we do any of the paperwork or administration. If
you have been court ordered to attend a MADD Victim Impact Panel (sometimes
called a MADD VIP, MADD Victim Panel, or MADD meeting), you need to call these
locations for information and to register: Alexandria ASAP: 703-838-4266; Bull Run
ASAP: 703-369-7979; DC RID: 301-890-7993; Fairfax ASAP: 703-279-2600; Fauquier County
Adult Court Services: 540-349-3138; and Loudoun Adult Community Corrections: 703-777-0207. Be
sure to mention that you are calling to get information about attending
a court-ordered MADD Victim Impact Panel. For information

Tie One On For Safety
Project Red Ribbon is MADD's most
popular and identifiable public awareness campaign. We ask
the public to become actively involved in the fight against drunk driving by tying a MADD red
ribbon to a visible place on their vehicle, such as the antenna or side mirror. The MADD red ribbon
serves as a symbol of the motorist's pledge to drive safe and sober during the holiday
season. It also reminds other motorists to do the same.
MADD red ribbons are available at the chapter office.
